TUMMY TUCK

Tummy Tuck-

UK Tummy Tuck Guide

Abdominal skin and fat is usually caused by pregnancy, but is greatly aggravated by weight loss. In this operation, excess skin and fat in the abdominal area is removed, abdominal countours and scars are improved, and the abdominal muscles are tightened. There are various types of tummy tuck:

Standard abdominoplasty

The excess skin and fat of the abdominal wall between the pubic area and the navel is removed, leaving the navel in place. The skin of the abdominal wall at the level of the navel is then drawn down to stitch it to the pubic level.

Extended abdominoplasty

Removes surplus skin and fat from the loins and the back.

Endoscopic abdominoplasty

Tightens the muscles of the abdominal wall to give a better contour, and is carried out through a short, transverse incision above the pubic hair. The skin is not removed.

Mini abdominoplasty

Removes the surplus skin below the navel, without disturbing the navel itself.
